This course has been designed for students with no previous experience of make-up.

This one-day course is suitable for students wishing to upgrade their basic skills and gain additional confidence in technique and application of make-up…Beauticians wishing to expand their
make-up skills and make-up artists who may have been out of the profession for several
years find this day particularly valuable.

Evening & Special Occasion make-up – enhancing the face with colour & smoky eyes.
Bridal Make-up – choosing the correct colours, creating a long lasting make-up.
Adapting current fashions to suit individuals.
Using make-up products and accessories – mixing shades, choosing the correct colours to
suit all skin tones.
Blending, shading, corrective and camouflage make-up.
Working at speed without rushing to make the make-up sessions cost effective.
How to approach and communicate with the client. Retailing without selling.

THREE DAY FASHION & PHOTOGRAPHIC MAKE-UP 9.45am – 4.30pm

This course is suitable for students looking to move into the fashion and photographic side of
the industry. This course includes all of the beauty & bridal make-up course, but from the angle
of fashion & photographic (for both colour and black & white)

Blending/Colouring/Shading /Effects
Creating looks for magazines
Fantasy make-up
Make-up for the catwalk including tips for working at speed.
Adapting different styles and periods
How to create make up for the camera.
A half-day where students work with a professional photographer having their make-ups
photographed

TWO DAY INTRODUCTION TO CHARACTER & CASUALTY MAKE-UP 9.45am-4.30pm

This 2 day course is suitable for all students wishing to develop other aspects of make-up beyond
beauty and gain an introduction to the technique and application of Character work and
Casualty Simulation make-up. Make-Up artists trained only in beauty or fashion who have
always wanted to expand their skills will find this course very enriching and enjoyable.

Character work will include
some aging techniques, illness,weathered looks etc
Creating injury effects ,bruising ,burns,abrasions ,small scars and incisions
Blood Wounds
How to use make-up effectively and get quick results for various Special Effects suitable for film
and television. Emphasis is on repeat action effects and does not involve prosthetic
applications.
