career has spanned over 47 years in the film industry. He has worked all
over the world with leading directors, cameramen and artists on some of
the greatest films made and he has achieved international recognition
for his work. His credits include such films as:
Tales of Hoffman, Anna Karenina, Guns of Navarone, Fiddler on the Roof, Isadora, Dirty Dozen, Yentl, Rollerball, Cry Freedom, The Elephant Man and Chaplin. He has been fortunate to work with fabled stars of the screen such as: Clark Gable, Kirk Douglas, Bette Davis, Lana Turner, Ingrid Bergman, Barbara Streisand, Glenda Jackson, Vanessa Redgrave, Omar Shariff, Robert Mitcham, Gregory Peck, Denzil Washington, Richard Gere, Deborah Kerr, Sophia Loren and many more . With this amazing wealth of experience Walter set up his company MAKE-UP INTERNATIONAL to develop and supply products for the exacting standards of the professional film television and beauty industries. Beryl Lerman, Walters daughter has been involved with the company since its inception. She makes her own unique contribution to MAKE-UP INTERNATIONAL having first been trained as a fine artist and then having a full career as a make-up artist, working with many leading stars including Julie Andrews,Stephan Audran, Amy Irving, Kate Nelligan, Victoria Tennant, Donald Sutherland, Roger Moore, and Rupert Everett.She is now the leading director of MAKE-UP INTERNATIONALS North West London Studio. The company supplies the FACE TO FACE range to many film centres worldwide. Make-Up International are established members of the BUAV and therefore only use ingredients not tested on animals.
